Anybody out there using a Audere preamp in their bass? BP magazine really liked them, and I thought of trying one in my L2500 fretted, whose electronics came messed up when I bought it on eVilbay.

I just saw the article in BP today ... I was considering a J-Retro for my Frankenstein J-Bass but the Audere looks like an interesting alternative and for less bucks!

Looks like just over $220 for one for my G&L.

Volume
Balance
Stacked bass / treble
Passive / Active switch
pick up loading switch

I would also like to save my series / paralel switch

Plus, I would like to add shielding.

Looks like the whole project would end up close to $300, I just can't spring it right now, but I am intreged, Sorry about my poor typing, but alergies have attacjked my eyes, and close up vision is impaired.
