L5500 = battery eater
« on: June 16, 2007, 01:55:50 AM »
Ok my recent L5500 purchase is a great bass, but it is eating batteries. I switched it over to 18v, but it is still eating batteries. Any help on where to look? Input jack? Preamp? Wiring?

In case you don't know, a L5500 is a EMG equipped G&L with the BTS system.

Thanks, Mark

I would look at how the input jack is wired, if it is eating batteries I would say that the electronics are not being shut off when the instrument cable is pulled out.
