Question: WTB700 footswitching options
« on: June 26, 2017, 11:11:34 AM »
Despite being the proud owner of a WT800 + D610XLT "Thunder Rig" (which sounds awesome!), my rig of choice for the last year or two has been my WTB700 driving a Tech Soundsystems 2x12 Neo cab - fantastic sound, more than adequate power for most of my needs and so much more portable... So anyway, the other day we were playing a gig and just after we started the first number, I noticed the sound I was getting was uncharacteristically dirty - I checked the amp and discovered the distortion knob was turned way up, I normally play with a very clean sound but actually, I was pleasantly surprised by what a potentially useful sound I was getting. I remembered that somewhere amongst my stuff, I have the two button footswitch that originally came with the amp - it's set up to switch on/bypass the Mute and Enhance features of the amp. My question is: would it be at all possible to modify the footswitch to switch on/bypass the Mute and Distortion features instead?

Hi,
almost everything is possible.
But you need to find someone who can do it.
One thing is certain, it's not a simple task.
Rock on!
