ideas and add-ons
« on: March 28, 2017, 03:09:55 PM »
I work as a professional player for several years now and I stumbled across many brands of bass amplification. A while ago I did some testing for a importer; a Krampera amp! Really great amp with also a cool looking and most of all handy feature!
The amp was coloured by some LED's, so on dark stages it was easy to work on. But one thing was also very handy; the amp had different coloured LED's for the different options (EQ on/of, limiter on/off etc.). I found this extremely handy; from the other side af a stage I could see if my limiter was on or off, my EQ was on or off etc.

I have a nice pedal preamp designed by Malcolm Toft: the Bassics BPA-1. It is more or less a channel strip from a mixing console, just adapted for bass. Look at these videos:

Do I have to say it sounds good...?

That looks absolutely awesome!!! If this could be build in a 19" rack module... with a built-in amplifier and branded by Eden... I really like the way you can switch on/off different part of the EQ.... and off course the illuminated knobs, so you can see what's on or off.....
