Eden WTX1000N problem
« on: November 15, 2017, 09:18:34 PM »
Hi all.
I bought a second hand (used) Eden WTX1000N on Ebay that arrived yesterday. I plugged it in (faders at zero) speaker cab plugged in, no bass plugged in. I turned it on. A loud pop came through the speaker cab and all of the panel lights were lit and the channel level indicators were showing max. About 30 seconds later, all of the lights went out. The cooling fan continued to work. I checked the fuse - OK. No output, no lights.....any ideas if this has happened to anyone else?

Hi,
we never had that on the Forum here.
Sounds like the power module went south.
Was that amp not used for a long time?
Maybe a cap died and took some other parts with it.
Anyway, it’s tech time.
I would return it if possible.
Rock on!

Thanks. I've taken it to a tech. The guy I bought it from on Ebay said it was stored for 9 months but says he tested it before sale. He has offered a 25% refund only......I guess the power module could be expensive?

If you can get one.
Almost impossible to get from the manufacturer.
Is it an Eden tech? If not he might have trouble to get it from Eden.

Thanks for your time with this. No, he's not an Eden tech......are there any authorised techs that you know of in Australia?
