The basses were... inexpensive, passive Warwick Rockbass 5 and  Washburn 4 basses plus an active Parker Fly bass (one of these was a bit nicer than the others). I never noticed the "weak gain" issue. I was playing with the input gain no higher than noon... without approaching clipping. I was not surprised at the levels compared to the other heads or my own Metro's. I played the 600 through a 6x10 and the 900 through a 4x10 and 1x15 (XLTs) and they behaved as I would expect loudness-wise. Though they were only briefly turned up to gut-shaking levels (noise police and all).

Excellent!  Thanks!

These look gorgeous but yikes thats expensive.

I hope the Ebay store prices will be much cheaper like they are for other Edens?  I spent $700 for new WT550 which broke and was returned/traded for a E300T and last year snagged a Time Traveler for $350.  I should have never sold the E300T, that was a wooly tone monster!

I'd love to plug into the 600 but doubt the local shops will carry a bass amp at that price:(  Weight and price I cant justify for purchase.  After honeymoon I will always grab a micro instead for live use, and with my $350 Time Traveler dominating my recordings I can't justify over $1k for a recording preamp.

What I want SOOO bad is a Time Traveler in a micro head or a beautifully designed easy to transport combo package, preferable with stacked 10s or 12s with up facing controls for ease of access.

I hope this means lot of new things from eden!

"Time Traveler in a micro head" is similar to my desire for a WT405 with a SMPS to cut weight.  The preamp and compressor were my favorites among various Eden heads I've tried (WTX, Metro) and the power amp section was dead quiet.  It was just a little bulky and heavy compared to alternatives.

Well, I am not interested in new Eden amps. I found The Holy Eden Grail in the WT800B. I have an American built Navigator too.
After some major disappointments in later Eden sejours, I am back to Old School Eden.

Never change a winning team!

Well, that's me...  8)

I have to add a slogan from the pro audio company Inner Tube Audio: “Made by true Americans under real sweat shop conditions.”
They make the magnificent Atomic Squeezebox tube compressor and the tube microphone called the "Mag Mike", built in the shell of a Mag Light...

Well, back on track! New amps, was it...!  ;)

Looking forward to it.  Part of me suspects there won't be much of a difference between the old and new lines.  The tube mix (and second tube) is new.  Is the compression circuit, or did they just borrow it from the Navigator and put everything in a new chassis with better cooling?  Kind of hoping they mostly repackaged what they had (as what they had is still Really Good).

ps.  Yeah, I know, the lighted jacks on the back (and the "cycle button") are different, but that really shouldn't affect the sound.

I would say, that sums it up pretty much.
Plus review of all circuits!
I think those will be very very reliable amps!

Pretty much my thoughts as well.
