Is it just me?
« on: December 19, 2014, 09:28:49 PM »
I was reading the manual for the WT Amps and came across this silly statement in the WP100 section.
Personally would like to give the thumbs down to the person who wrote it and the person who proof read it. Can someone delete this bit of nonsense?
11. LED Array: No one quite understands why these are on
the unit, if they annoy you, you could poke them inside the
chassis, color them in with a pen or cover them with some
black tape? You’re welcome, because it’s a really
neat thing.

What the......?

Also the WT550 part of the manual states that the low frequency control is footswitchable which of course, isn't.

My hunch is that it's sabotage...somebody got fired and before s/he lost access to the system, put that little bit in there.  Either that, or the manual got hacked by some North Koreans?

It sounds sarcastic and slightly bitter to me--I can't see Lane writing that, even after he was let go.  He's too classy.

I agree.  The "You’re welcome, because it’s a really neat thing" is very much Lane's phrasing, but he would never purposely sabotage instructions like that.  He's way too much of a class act and that's pretty childish.  I can't see him doing anything to take a chance on sabotaging a bass player's experience.

I always presumed that those lights are on to show that power is being delivered to those control circuits and everything is working as expected.
