New Bass Rack+
« on: November 16, 2014, 04:46:16 AM »
Hi there,
It is time to build a new stage rack.
What I want to have in there:
 - Drawer (no more extra bags, boxes and searching for things)
 - Tuner
 - Wireless system
 - Octaver (my main FX)
 - Bluetooth receiver (how did that song sound again? Play it from the iPad or phone!)
 - Amp
Drawer, tuner and amp will be installed as is.
What am I going to do with all the other things?
A 19" utility enclosure is in order!
Basic layout is done. Please have a look an comment.
 Thanks!

Armin

You couldn't get one of those little tuners in there as well?

Seems o.k. but I would put a blend function into the bluetooth so I could mix it into my bass amp signal incase I didn't want to run cables to a p.a. or another amp.  Also, just a personal preference for me would be to have a footswitch option on the octaver but perhaps you don't need it.

Well thought!
The BT will be fed to my amp. There I can control the AUX in.
Also the FX I can switch of on my amp via foot switch.

I wasn't to sure about the names for the octave
SOURCE direct clean signal
GROWL clean octave
WARP distorted octave
BUMP + dB for the mids not to get lost in the mix with the octaver

Are you building the octaver, or will these knobs just wire remote to something sitting back inside the unit?
Todd
I mostly play my Jazzmaster custom nowadays, but I do at least still own some basses.

Sweet Armin!   I couldn't see your initials on that bass clef until I clicked on the image and it enlarged tremendously!   Then it was easy to see the A and the B as the dots on the clef.  Very clever, looks great, and a very recognizable logo.

Nicely done! 8)
