Online schematics
« on: October 01, 2014, 08:59:14 AM »
It would be nice if Eden would provide schematics online to assist customers (who are so inclined and qualified) to troubleshoot their Eden equipment.

And since you can't tell like that if someone is qualified or not it will never happen.
Eden is not giving any schematics away in order to keep the high quality of the product. Schematics are only available for service centers and certified techs.
Nobody wants to buy a used amp that was maybe serviced not the proper way. There were actually a lot of horror stories that made the company to decide that way. Of course not everybody will be happy with that decision. I myself got two hearts beating for that subject since I am a tech and a bass player.
Btw, I'm not employed by Eden.

I personally like how SWR has all their schematics online.  It gives value to the used product in my opinion.  Another company that's great for service manuals is Yorkville up here in Canada.  All their schematics and service manuals are available on their website.

I have a number of Eden schematics I could share as I have no affiliation with Eden other than being a fan.  PM me.

Many thanks Mutha, I PM'd you. Let me know if you don't receive it. I'm getting no help from anybody affiliated (or seemingly affiliated) with Eden. Not good. I just acquired a used WTX500 and the owners manual must have been written by a high school student. Silly is not cool. Sdg

PS: they need to change the verification question: how many strings does a bass have. They don't just have 4 strings anymore!

Change the question instead: How many strings does a traditional bass guitar have?  Or, how many strings do you find on most bass guitars?  Something like that.

Well, if it is really so important, I will ask the Admin to do something about it.
Still people make it here :D
To change it that way, that you can give different answers is also possible, but that gives a better chance for Spammer to have a lucky hit.
I would like the question: First name of the founder :D

First name of the founder would work for all of use, but how many knew the first name BEFORE becoming forum members - I don't think I did.  Bass guitars have 4 strings, aberrations have more.
UK member, WT330, WTX260, 2 x EX112 (both 4 ohm), WTDI, and a Microtour as well as a Roland Super Cube Bass, Blackstar HT5, Fender Jazz '67, Fretless Fender Jazz '70, Burns Barracuda, Epiphone EB-0, Ashbory, Stagg EUB and guitars and ukuleles and a mandolin as well

I humbly disagree. While a one string washtub bass will get the job done, once you try 6 strings you'll never look back IMO! 8)

The fifth commandment of bass:
#5 - Thou Pusheth thy luck with 5 Strings, 6 is a mortal sin for thou hast no business in the upper register.

A question that many don't know, or have wrong.  What is the founder's "real" last name?

Thank you for the link Basswall, some good commandments in there to be sure. But (like the Pope) one must roll with the changes. And I absolutely love not having to climb the neck to hit those frequently necessary 'forbidden register' notes. Lead guitar shouldn't have all the fun!
