Mute Button for WT550
« on: August 23, 2014, 06:53:26 AM »
Hi,

Having a mute button on the WT550 would be very useful.  Right now I use a mute box, but I would rather not have something in the direct line from my bass to the amp.

Thanks!
Rob

And if they do put one on it, I hope it's not like the WTX500 - it makes a loud 'crack' when you push it. Quite annoying. Sdg

Sundog, that's not normal for any WTX model.  My WTX260 does no such thing.

No, I was talking about the newer WTX500, not the WTX260. My USA made WTX260 was silent but my chinese made WTX500 makes a loud 'snap' sound when the mute is engaged.

I read a review on Amazon where someone encountered the same problem, so it's not just an isolated thing. But it's better than not having a mute switch at all. ???
