Don't have a WTX500, but do have a WTX1000N Navigator, which has two 500 watt versions of the WTX500 amps.  The fan on that unit is on all the time. The "new" Eden user manuals don't give much information about anything, but the old one indicated that the amp had a thermal shut down that cut in if the unit overheated (cutting stage/amp sound, but leaving the DI signal uninterupted).  Doesn't say explicitly, but I'm wondering if the WTX500  fan is actually on all the time.

The fan in my WTX260 is on all the time so I'd say your WTX500 is normal.  Welcome to the forum!  Rock on, Bob

Hi Jobohrer and welcome to the Garden!

Yes, Bob and Tman are right, the fan comes on right away and is not switched by a thermostat.

No schematics available!!! Don't ask for it.

If you are lucky you have a quiet fan, if not you have a noisy one - could be worth swapping out for a quieter one if it's noticeable...  Armin suggest computer fans and we're hoping he'll recommend the best because there seem to be a huge number of them...
