Very sad news indeed.  Rest in Peace Al.  Always looked forward to reading his posts on the forum when he I first came on board.  He always had something good to say and had a great sense of humor.   At least we still have some of his You Tube performances we can pull out from time to time.

Rock n' Roll on Al!

Just today I heard the dreadful news.
I was talking to a friend earlier today, a Swedish guitar player who met a woman just 100 km from where Al lived. They even were in Hood River in October. I told him about Al, the great guy. "Maybe YOU can pay him a visit when you return to your woman next week." Then I opened the laptop and read that Al is no more, he has left the scene way too soon.

My first memory of Al was his avatar with his own private stamps he had printed. A guy with humour, a wise man, a nice man...
Al - I would have loved to see Hood River and the surroundings, guided by you. Then jam sessions and all...

Another time. Another place.
Rest in peace, Big Man!
