Al Schiebel passed
« on: February 26, 2014, 11:58:18 AM »
Al Schiebel finally passed from his cancer.  The following is from the Facebook post by his wife.

Shari Schiebel‎Al Schiebel
Yesterday morning at 9:00am I lost my best friend, my prince, my Al. I waited a long time for him to come into my life, and the time spent with him was not nearly long enough, but is time I will forever cherish. I will always love him. I held him as he took his last breath, I know he liked that. He was exactly where he wanted to be for his last breath.

This really happened much sooner than either one of us thought. He didn’t have a lot of pain but was struggling for air the last couple days. We just made the arrangements for our wedding reception, but I think it will now be our wedding reception / celebration of life. We picked the date of April 19th – the Saturday after Good Friday. If you are able to join us for that, please do. I’ll share more details soon. - Shari - aka Mrs. Al

Al was a joy on here and on Facebook where he became known for the beautiful pictures he posted of both his home in Oregon and also the mountains of Germany.  He knew death was coming, but met it with the grace, dignity and courage that would make anyone proud.  I was honored to know him and will greatly miss him no that he's gone.

RocknRollAl, our fellow Edenite passed.
Al will be missed, but will be also in our hearts.
I was blessed to know him, but also sad that I never met him in person.
Always a cracking joke on his lips as well as some great advice for us.
