There have always been temporary ups and downs in participation at the Forum.  I'm visiting as often as usual but I still don't like reading nearly-white text on a nearly-black background.  I do it but it isn't my preference.

There have always been temporary ups and downs in participation at the Forum.  I'm visiting as often as usual but I still don't like reading nearly-white text on a nearly-black background.  I do it but it isn't my preference.

The activity on the forum has slowed down quite a bit lately but that happens from time to time. I'm sure you'll find plenty of old timers still lurk around now and then but just don't bother so much with posting. I pretty much always check out whats been happening overnight each morning when I get to work due to obvious time differences to most of you in the states and europe. (However I am convinced that the Arminator truly is a cyborg sent back from the future to assist us with tech problems and he doesn't require sleep)  :D ;D :P
Since the WTDI came out, there hasn't been a lot of radically new stuff to talk about. The odd glitch discovered by a newbie here and there but there hasn't even been the usual "Off Topic" banter that usually goes on here.
I don't know, sometimes when the forum is quiet it might mean things are going right at Eden, not like several years back when whole batches of new products were plagued with problems. It's been a long time since I've seen that happen and back then every man and his dog was on here putting in their 2 cents.
 :o

Hi Grunt... you might have missed it because it's buried quite a few posts up but the on/off switch on the Eden home page no longer works to take you directly to the forum, as regulars we could bookmark the forum page and avoid the issue but I feel irregulars and newbies might not even realise we have a forum anymore.  It seems that since the button stopped working the number of posts have gone down.  Like you I check in each morning but always enjoyed switching on the forum!

So this captcha thing I must type before every post, does that go away after a certain number of posts, or any to get it removed?  I get it for the first few posts from someone to prevent spam, but ideally it'd be nice to get rid of after a user has a certain number of posts.

Edit: Found the answer. 10 is the magic number. Cool.

Yes, we figured 10 would be enough to keep spammers out if they can even get in. If they think they have to go through the captcha thing for every post, they'll move on to easier forums.
