Need advice on wt1205 effect loops
« on: February 02, 2011, 11:22:13 PM »
Ok, we have 4 loops on this amp

I want to use a Line 6 filter pro and modulation pro.

I also am using a rackmount BBE maxcom dual compressor

My mind is telling me to put modulation pro in post loop of one channel

On other channel, put filter pro in pre loop, put maxcom in post loop, and run dual compressor in series.

What would you do. Cause I really dont know. Just guesing on the limited info I know

Thanks

It sounds like you're on the right way, as long as all your units are not of "pedal level" type. Just use your ears and listen if there is any tonal difference between different ways of connecting.

Yea, its all line level stuff. I wouldn't think you would need compression after modulation. Just after filter stuff.

Compression normaly in the beginning, with wah, auto-wah, envelope filters BEFORE. Dist/overdrive there too, before or after the compressor. All other modulation/delay stuff at the far end.

But - you can achieve some fun sounds if you change the order of things, not so useful, though...

I did it simple: I sold all pedals and got the Boss GT-10B to put up front, but never use it... [:D][:D][:D]
