One of my fav songs

One of my fav songs is definitely Close to you, sung by the wonderful girl with the wonderful voice, Karen Carpenter. The Carpenters had a lot of nice songs, as well as a very high quality regarding the musical craftsmanship. The song shows how instrumental minimalism can be really majestic. Maybe not the hippest song from a bass players point of view...

Then there are a LOT of other songs in all genres, but that's another story.

I love that song too, Roger. The Carpenters have caught alot of cynical flack for being, well....as you said, not hip. But I'll listen to Karen all day before I'll listen to Cher![xx(]
