The kit looks great! Those D112XLTs look small in the photo but man do they sound great outdoors.

How loud was this gig??
The reason I ask is because it seems like the audio on the video is very loud.......which usually means.....it's loud[:)]

With the band that I currently provide sound/engineering services for they have a few video's on there website and the video's where the music is really in your face....those shows were insane loud (outdoor shows) and I was happy it was not my equipment subject to that abuse [:D]

Otherwise, seemed like a fun gig with no pressure.....except for the sound police [8D]! Also seemed like you guys caught a beautiful day weatherwise, makes doing outdoor shows so much more fun!

Will do.  I'm checking in for the last time before I board the cruise ship down here in Tampa and head out to sea.  Will be back next week Wednesday.

Vinny, it wasn't "Holy Crap" loud...my kick was a little hot. But soundmen really push my kick because they like the sound of it.  Sounding good is one thing, but sounding "too loud" is another thing altogether.

EDIT:  hoping to find a little jazz band on the ship that'll let me sit in.

Danny...  Just had a chance to look at the videos.  Really great stuff!  It's hard to believe you jumped in last minute.  Great performance all.

Somehow didn't notice Vinny's post, so let me answer it now. From what I was told, the Deeper Blues set was in fact pretty darn loud. I don't really know why, because all the performances before us were just fine. I used the same bass amp, and even turned the Master down once I'd set my Gain. The stage volume was loud enough to get over the drums and that was about it. (No drums in monitors.) Guitars matched my stage volume, and only vocals in the monitors. So I think a lot of it has to do with how that band shell just totally projects the stage sound.

I was behind the band shell or watching from the side of the stage when Deeper Blues was performing (Lane snagged a traditional jazz drummer for his set, who I thought was awesome and wanted to watch...) with the exception of the song "Happy Boy" which had no drums...I was out front for that one.  So I'm not sure JUST how loud the Deeper Blues set was out front when the full band was playing.
