Has anyone had any experience removing the WT330 head from the CXC112?  If so, is it the full head or would I need to get a chasis for it?

It is the full head.

Just be careful when removing the screws from the top of the combo (four screws on top). The nuts are only glued on, they can fall off into the inside of the amp. If that happens, you'll have to open the amp and get them out before you power up the amp again.

Just turn the amp upside down and shake it, listen for rattling - if you hear rattling, then a nut or two came loose.
