really,none of them.

The 410's are very good for a more modern, funk, pop or slap style of playing.
To playback motown, and reggae,a 15" gives you more what you need.

You could disable the horn, dial in some enhance, and cut some bright.. Both cabinets are very similar.
The xlt is louder, the 104HF is lighter in weight.

If you want a motown sound and are thinking between only those cabinets, and an Eden or MB amp,I'd recommend MB; since it has a "vintage emulation"-knob in their amps, which will give you more of what you need.

Edens don't have that. But pure cabinet wise both are pretty on par with eachother.
If you have only an Eden amp,go with the Eden cab.
If you already own a MB amp,go with a MB cab.
If you own another amp,I'd recommend you to go with the Eden cab since it is tuned as a hifi cab; also, the 410 is front ported, which is better onstage..

Thanks for the info. Also 104HF is front ported. 104HF´s are used by Robbie Shakespiere and 410XLT´s are used by Aston Barett Familyman...I currently own 2 x 410XLT and 1205 head, but due to the huge problems with Eden heads I wanna get rid of that head and will likely exchange the 410XLT cabs to 104HF too. But just wanna know should I exchange 410XLT to 104HF or I´ll just exchange 1205 head to Mark Bass TA-503?

Thanks.

Have you had any problems with yours? There are plenty of happy 1205 owners too. Most of the people that received good 1205s never had problems, so if yours is happy, why take the hit of trading?

Ground lift swith doesn´t stay in, bypass enhance switch doesn´t work in pedal, Mute switch doesn´t work in pedal...Have already returned 3 units of 800C back to dealer as they have been dropped by transporters, then finally exchanged 800C to 1205 and now this 1205 has these probs above. My German dealer is sick of paying DHL the transportation costs from Germany to Finland and back to Germany (it costs abt 120 USD / shipment = one way)...No authorized service center in Finland...This has been a real nightmare. I have ordered my units about 1.5 year ago and haven´t played more than 10 minutes...

Thanks.

Wow, yeah, I'd be looking too. Of course, if the shipper drops your alternative, you won't be better off.

Good luck.

Since 410XLT´s and 104HF´s are pretty similar, so maybe I don´t need to exchange those XLT´s to HF´s because no remarkable change in sound...As my dealer is not willing to return my money back as WT1205 is about USD 1000 more expensive than Mark Bass TA-503, I can take one extra cab "free" so I think I´ll take one Trace Elliot 1528 (2 x 15", 500 watts, 8 ohm) and also maybe one Trace Elliot 1818 (1x18", 500 watts, 8 ohm). I hope I could finally play my bass thru the quality amp & cabs - I paid nearly USD 7000 and have played less than 10 minutes thru Eden - the lession is that the most expensive is not neccessarily the best...feel so sad...Thanks.

Yahoo, Markbass TA-503 will be on the way to me and WT1205 will be on the way away from me [8D]....I just had to keep those Eden 410XLT cabs [B)] as the dealer didn´t want to take them back - I hope those cabs will not fail...Those Trace 1818 and 1528 cabs should came with TA-503 too [8D]...

Hi there,

I have the HF104 Mark Bass and are exchanging for an Eden 410XST as these are more focused and punchy. You'll find the MK BASS Cab ok but I'm not sure why they are even popular as they pump out a lot of woolly bottom end and are not as good as the old SWR Goliath.
The Eden 410XST has a more focused punchier bottom end and is a lot better made in my book.
The LM MkBass head I use simply because it is light and easy to carry around. The controls have two knobs which can be used to alter the freq response for old school or funk, the problem being the HF104 does not reproduce much other than volume.

My basses include a Sire V7, Yamaha BB615, Ibanez SR505, Fender Jazz with EMG active pickups.

My favourite rig is the Eden WT550 and my current SWR Golight 4x10, the Eden cab I tried out is even better.

Try both out before purchasing and don't make a mistake buying something that does not work for you.

Eden may not be the lightest out there but it is certainly the one for a wide range of musical styles and does not "fart out" like many other cabs I won't mention.

Cheers
