My 4X10XLT Didn't survive... :-(
« on: December 08, 2008, 01:42:06 PM »
Pretty simple and sad story. I sold my 4X10XLT, boxed it up and sent it via UPS to Tennessee. When it got there the receiver was quite upset. Apparently UPS dropped the package.

The upper left speaker snapped away from the screws that held it, so its pushed up against the grill, and the magnet fell off the back and is free inside the cabinet. UPS claims that this was nothing they did, but i have pictures of me packing it up, 100% intact, and the receiver has pictures of it broken as they opened it.

Anyone else ever have this happen to them? If so, how do i deal with UPS? I already placed a claim...

I bought a new Warwick thumb NT and when the guy from ups pulled up i watched him get out drag it out of the back and drop it on the concrete.......When i yelled at him and called him names and told him that he just dropped a 4500 dollar bass he just looked at me like i was stupid. Luckly it was packed very well and no harm done but i made him stand there and wait while i opened it. I NEVER ship ups anymore i don't care what it cost

For some reason you gotta put fragile or extremely fragile on all of your packages being sent cause i've had friends who had some issues with UPS too and didn't have the evidence.  so do what you gotta do

Hmmm . . .  My experience is that Fragile or Very Fragile stickers on packages are taken as challenges by the apes at UPS.

I think they pick out those packages for their "extreme drop" and "how far can I throw this" games. [:(!]
