I like the idea of sends and returns in the front. When I'm in the studio or wherever, I'm tired of having to turn equipment around just to re-arrange sends and returns.

And if you have floor pedals, front jacks make sense.

Just my opinion... [:D]

Hmmm...everyone was clamoring for more power than the WTX260, but when it arrives there is still bickering. WTF. I get plenty of work with my WTX260 to not bother with chafing punch-ups over power switch location. I can already hear the Beringer digs if Eden HAD had used RCA jacks.

In the old days I had to unload a heavy B-15N, flip the head over, latch it, plug it in, reach around to the power switch in back, AND turn on the standby switch. Talk about inconveniece! At least in the 70's we played tons of paying gigs instead of protesting on forums that classic amps only had 100 watts, or the tolex was too nubbly.

Hmmm... seems like we should all be able to agree on one thing. It's the open discussions like this that can lead to bigger and better product.

So, can we call this thread dead and move on?

Virtually every Fender guitar amp that's been made has the power switches on the back of the amp. And I suspect it's not a matter this being the best layout, but more a matter of sticking 10lbs of electronics in a 5lb box and putting stuff where there's space to stick it.

The switch is staying on the back. You've made your comment, mbrain, and I'd appreciate it very much if you'd now let it go...and stop arguing with the moderators.

The Rocco head will be released as soon as possible. And I don't have a concrete date yet, but will work on that this week.

We now take you back to the original discussion already in progress...

I really appreciate some of the design considerations going on.  A while back, I considered buying an "airhead" 112 cab and mounting my 400 in it.  Posting this idea to the Garden returned that the design of the cab was specifically for a WT-330/405 style amp and would not accomodate a WT-400/550 style, not even with some creative modding.  After grousing about it for a while, I just left it as a "serving suggestion".  So making the new WTX combo able to accomodate different WTX amps is a great thing.  Now, you can choose how much power you want to put in your combo.  I'll probably wind up getting a WTX500, probably in a 112 neo combo when available, and that (plus one of my other 112s) will become my new small/mid gig rig.

As far as the power switches and the 1/4" jacks, it really doesn't matter that much between front or back.  The issues are so insignificant they're not even worth the electrons it take to light up the screen.  Be happy Eden is releasing a powerful little amp that sounds great and is light as a feather.

Guys, this one got stalled. Unfortunately, everyone I could ask about it is traveling this week, so I'll have to put it on my list and deal with it when they come back.

Lane - any news on this topic?  The WTX-500 combo one, not the Rocco head or power switch location one.

Hey, Coop. As I understand it, the WTX-500 should be appearing within a month. And, yes, it will be the head in the ENC combos moving forward.

New to the forum. I am in the market for a good practice amp so thought I would post some questions. I am confused on what head the ECX110N comes with. Originally it was the WTX260 but then I was told the WTX260 was being discontinued in favour of the WTX500 which is now being assembled in China. That being said I thought ECX110N was now going to be shipped with the WTX500. Any insight would be great.   Thank you.

Welcome to the forum,
you thought right, the newer ECX110N are with the WTX500 head.

One quick question and one that can probably be answered by the current ENC110/112 owners out there: How easy is it to daisy chain the combo with another cab?  I'm thinking about a WTX500-powered ENC112, but I'm planning on using it with an additional 112 for most gigs.  Is there a set of speakon jacks w/ tweeter control on the back of the cab (like a regular 112)?

Hi Coop, I have the ENC112 powered by the WTX260 and I'm cosidering an upgrade  to a WTX500.
The cab of the ENC112 has a 1/4 inch plug for its speaker connection, so when I use a D112xlt extension cab I use the speakon connector from the back of the amp. There is no speaker jack plate on the back of the combo .
the tweeter control is different to the 112xlt 12 O'clock is normal, 3 O'clock is +2db, 6 O'clock is high range and 9 O'clock is -2db you can still dial the attenuator in between .
I run the tweeter on the combo at 9 O'clock just like every Eden cab I've ever used.
I played a WTX500 through 2x112xlts the other day I liked it,but to my ears the 500 doesn't sound as good as the 260.
if I didn't have the 260 I would be very impressed with the 500 and I still may get one!
I am waiting to try the WTX1000N then we shall see what I end up with.
