1/4 inch rear jacks
« on: May 08, 2008, 01:21:32 PM »
I don't know if I am the only one or maybe just the only one to complain.I have broken a total of 8 jacks on the back of my amp and I am only using the tuner and footswitch jack..So I know it is not my cables.
I had 4 replaced and got on the forum and was told to call cs and they would send 4.
I had those installed at an authorized Eden repair shop and they broke at the shop. After they got tired of seeing me the tech put heat shrink tape on some metal jacks and have not had any problems with these nor do I have any hums.
I emailed Lane about this and how the repair shop would not repair my amp under warranty, but never heard from him.
Anyway I still love my NA650 even tho I have spent over $300.00 to get it repaired so many times.
Ok I am done now back to the gig.

Thanks for listening to me complain.

Bad Bob... I'm very sorry, but I never got your email. I'll point Tim to this thread and ask him to get up with you. I have NO idea what we can do at this point, but I'd like to at least make an attempt to straighten this out.

Thanks for the replies guys. The jacks are breaking under the mounting nut.Honestly they did not start to break unit I took it to the authorized Eden repair center.I did talk to C.S. and they said to only snug them up and sent me 4 jacks.Tha repair shop broke them putting them in..I think part of it is the repair shops fault.
Lane,I am not asking for anything but just thought I would let you know about the problems that I have had with the jacks and the repair shop..

Still love my rig.

I haven't broken an Eden jack yet (knock on wood), but I did experience this issue. I have an ART tube compressor and dropped it during transport while it was in its' box. The circuit board-mounted input jack, which had a plastic sleeve/shaft, snapped off behind the nut, apparently due to the flex of the circuit board on its internal shock mounts. An inexpensive fix, but a first for me nonetheless.
My only Eden repair so far was a blown effects loop due to excessive gain from a DBX compressor - watch those meters!
Good Luck.
