Ut Oh! Navi problem - OhNo!
« on: March 16, 2008, 06:47:04 PM »
My ultra reliable Navigator has developed a quirky problem. It is still working, but the compressor by-pass indicator (bright red) stays on when the green compressor on indicator light should be on. If I push the compressor defeat switch, a loud (60 - 100hz ?) hum comes out the DI. I run the Navi direct to the PA out the post DI, no power amp or speakers (IEM only).

Like I said, it is still working, although I thought my bass was starting to distort slighty this morning after about 45 minutes of playing.

Anyway, do I box her up, or is the compressor circuit tied in with the tube?

I don't believe the compression circuit is tied in with the tube, but a tube is only around $12 so I would give that a try first anyway. If that doesn't fix it then I would have to say you will need to send it in.

I was hoping the V Man would be around.

Wishful thinking on the tube though, don't ya think? [xx(]

The next date I would use the Navi is April 6th, probably be setting in MN then. [:(]

I kinda been wanting to try out my Sansamp anyway. If I just didn't get compliments on my sound all the time, this would be easier to take.

I guess I'll just slip the RBI in my rack, and hope nobody notices. [;)]
